Full List of Services Completed:
- Hand Wash
- Engine Detailing - After removing the engine covers and masking off sensitive areas like the exposed K&N Intake, we cleaned the engine using mild cleaners and a special set of brushes to agitate the dirt. Afterward, we coated all the engine rubber and plastics in a vinyl dressing.
- Full-body Clay Bar - Detailing clay is used (along with a lubricant) to remove contaminants that stick to the paintwork (tar, sap, etc.). These contaminants typically cannot be removed by regular washing. This leaves the vehicle finish feeling smooth and ready for the scratch removal process
- Paint Correction - Each panel was corrected on an individual basis using a variety of polishers (rotary and dual action), pads (wool, Velcro, foam, etc.), and compounds/polishes. The trunk lid had extensive scratching as a result of opening/closing; therefore, we performed a triple stage wet-sand in order to remove the damage.
- Stages 1 & 2: Compounding.
- Stages 3 & 4: Medium-Strength Polishing.
- Stages 5 & 6: Fine & Ultra-Fine Polishing.
- Final Rinse/Coating Prep - As heavier compounds tend to generate a large amount of fine dust, we rinsed off the vehicle prior to the final paint sealant and wax application. We also removed any remaining polish oils/dust prior to wax/sealant application.
- Paint Sealant - A quality paint sealant containing synthetic polymers and chemicals was applied to give a base layer of protection.
- Wax - Two coats of wax containing a blend of synthetic additives and natural carnauba were applied to give the paintwork that extra layer of gloss.
- Wheels/Tires/Fenders/Exterior Trim - The outer portion and inner portion of the wheels were cleaned using a multi-stage method involving a special set of brushes. The fender liners were also treated with a vinyl protectant. The front grille and rear diffuser were hand dressed.
- Exhaust - The (awesome sounding) Flowmaster exhaust was hand polished and coated in a metal sealant.
